Hi im new to windows 8.1 did a fresh install had it on the new pc for around a week now i installed the classic shell to make it similar to windows 7 it was working perfectly
I then came into some issues sometimes alt tabbing out of programs would result in a full dark grey screen and would only go away with a restart or to tab back into the program i was using or logging off the user etc or quitting the program which was annoying
I then came into another issue shortly after watching any video in windows media player the bars would flicker on and off and disappear the window would not go enlarged and if it did it would free the movie all i could do is close windows media player then re open the file
Another issue happen in dota 2 where if i played in any mode except full screen mode the screen would freeze but i could still hear / control and respond to things happening in the game and it would not crash or have any not responding issues soon as i switched to full screen mode the game ran fine
I thought at first it might of been windows classic shell or the possible 120hz overclocked korean monitor which i have had for 2 years i tried a different monitor with no luck and also uninstalled windows classic shell completely and still had the same issues
Also to note when i tried to take a screen shot with print screen of the windows media player issues it would not copy it at all soon as i closed windows media player i could screen shot anything else no problem
I have no issues with normal browsing or everyday use of the pc no issues in games apart from having to run dota 2 in full screen mode so i don't believe its the video cards issue

Is this a driver bug or a OS bug ?
