I have an Auzentech Forte which has served me well over the years, I would like to upgrade my sound card as I fear it might be on the way out.
I use a Pioneer home cinema receiver which is hooked upto a 5.1 surround system in my lounge. I use my pc for gaming, movies and music and would like to get an improvement on what I am using now and have no real budget for the new sound card. I use Dolby digital live for my games, spdif pass through for movies and music is played back in stereo. I also never use headphones.
Any ideas or suggestions would be much appreciated. I have seen some good reviews for the Asus STX 2 and I would also happily consider creative.
