Ok, I'm not exactly new to Linux but I've not mastered it either. I've been using Linux on and off for about 15 years now. This is the first time I've ever run across such an issue.
I'm trying to install OpenSuSE 13.2...or 13.1. I don't really care which at this point. I put the install DVD in, boot from the DVD. It starts to load as normal, but after selecting "installation" it appears to proceed, but the screen goes black and stays that way.
Hardware specs are to the left.
I'm currently using Intel's SRT, which means RAID is enabled. I've never had an issue with installing OpenSuSE with RAID enabled in the past so I'm a bit lost here. If I switch from RAID to AHCI in UEFI, I can't boot so that's not really an option unless someone knows how to install AHCI drivers post-install.
I want to dualboot Windows8.1 and OpenSuSE 13.x
