Apparently, disabling the following will give you better online game performance:
Interrupt Moderation
Flow Control
Receive Side Scaling
x Checksum Offload
You can find these settings by going to the advanced properties of your NIC in Device Manager.
Supposedly the benefits are lower latencies, better bullet registration, less rubberbanding and faster responsiveness. All at the cost of (possibly) increased CPU usage.
Has anyone performed these tweaks and noticed differences? I turned Interrupt Moderation and Flow Control off yesterday and it does feel like I'm getting better registration but that may be placebo.
