I got a chance to play this last night. For a demo that's an hour long, I'm finding there's much more time you can put into it. I put a little over an hour into it last night and I'm still not even in the city.
Anyway, the battle system is in real time and reminds me of hack n slash games. This will immediately turn off a lot of veteran Final Fantasy fans. I personally find the combat system refreshing, I like it a lot. I've bee a fan since the first game on nes (I'm in the camp that thinks FF7 was the best of the series, followed by FF6/FF3 in US).
The graphics are decent, it stutters quite a bit while it's trying to load new areas but again, it's a demo!
Overall, I went from being curious to see what the demo had in it, to being extremely excited for the full release.
Now to play that full game the demo came with :banana:
