I installed it and then analyzed, the update installs GWX folder in windows\system32 folder, where GWX stands for Get Windows X. Inside you can find the binaries which will show you ad with the possibility to install Windows X at some later moment when Microsoft decides to activate it.
In the first phase, the ad is not displayed. Then comes the phase Anticipation where the ad is displayed. Then the phase Reservation. The ad still displayed. Then the phase Reserved. The ad still displayed. Then the pahse RTM. The ad still displayed. The other phases during which the ad is not displayed anymore are: GA,
UpgradeDetected,
UpgradeDownloadInProgress,
UpgradeDownloaded,
UpgradeReadyToInstall,
UpgradeReadySetupInProgress,
UpgradeSetupCompatBlock,
UpgradeSetupRolledBack,
UPgradeSetupFailed,
UpgradeSetupComplete.

Some people may of had problems with GWX.exe as it looks like some firewalls have blocked it.
Make sure you have this update andd get ready for the change. :(
Thanks to Janko for spotting the new folder and doing the leg work.
