My 660Ti is getting old, but I am having a hard time finding something better than it for under 250$. Currently, Crysis 3 blows dog d*ck on my 660Ti and GTA 5 is choppy (30-60 FPS with settings turned down)
Battlefield 4 runs great tho.
The only thing I found that is under 250$ is a R9 280X
(i read somewhere that the Sapphire Dual X and the XFX Double D version version can actually run circles around my 660 ti in crysis 3 and other games(dat 384bit mem interface doe). BUT i dont want AMD. I want NVIDIA!
Im am looking at a GALAX GTX960 white colored EXOC card for $199.99 Preorder right now to go with my Sabertooth Mark S. but am scared that its slower than my 660ti. and the Color is not exactly White.. its more like eggshell white. (looks like ****in eggnog. Or like is been exposed to copious amounts of Cigarette tar infused air for years)
- the only reason im thinking of a gtx 960 is because GPU boss reports that the specs are better than my GTX 660ti
I find that very weird considering that in the past, in order to get more performance above a another in Nvidia models is if you go up in the tens column not the 100s-
(ie 480 is better than a 470 but a 570 is similar to a 470 but with new features)
any ideas?
