Transparency issues in some games?

In certain games i experience some transparency issues on certain textures...

I know for a fact this is an issue on the AMDs side, related to drivers. But can someone please explain me what really affects it and is there a way around it?

I was unable to find a good explanation on any of the posts I've found...
