I'm using a samsung galaxy note N7000.
I use a MHL to HDMI cable so that i can screen movies that i'm watching on my phone unto the big screen TV.
The cable has a port where you need to insert the charging wire of your phone in as it requires power to charge while video is transmitted no problem i connect it.
Here's the problem. I'm using an app that has access to sports entertainment channels. It's called TVAPP when i connect the phone to the tv the phone screen itself shows the video while the tv also has the same video so there are 2 videos showing simultaneously.
Now this probably shouldn't be of any concern except that you know the phone's cpus need to work to run the video. There's going to be a big problem if they are working to run the video on the phone screen and the video being shown on the tv. After watching the videos i noticed that my phone's battery actually dropped even though it's charging. This means that it's actually using more power than it can recharge.
Anyway i disconnect the phone from the tv and run the app and the channel that i was watching with stuttering video now runs smoothly so i have now narrowed it down as it isn't my cellular connection or the home wifi connection which is fibre anyhow so it's very fast. The problem with the stuttering video is due to the phone's cpu being unable to show a smooth video on a big screen tv or rather they have to show 2 videos simultaneously and that causes the videos to stutter if i could somehow prevent the video from running on the phone and only on the tv it probably could be smooth.
Anyhow i decided to run android youtube to test and what do you know the video only shows on the tv it doesn't show on the phone screen. I thought that it should be automatic the minute you connect the phone to a big screen it won't show on the phone screen.
A phone's cpu/ram isn't like a lap tops or a desktop in which they could easily process the same video on 2 or more screens simultaneously without a problem.
Is there some sort of app to somehow prevent the phone's screen from running the video?
