Help needed to choose compatible RAM (DDR3-1600 4GB or 8GB) for GA-X58A-UD3R rev 1.0

I bought a second hand Gigabyte X58A-UD3R and it booted ok at seller's place. However, I tried to boot it with Crucial Ballistix DDR3-1600 4GB and it won't book. I've cleaned CMOS and the result is the same. Tested with a post card and the error code is C1 which means memory related problem. I guess the RAM is not compatible. Because I don't want to waste money anymore, I hope you guys have the MB could tell me which brand RAM to buy. Thanks!
