Recently picked up a second GTX 980. Both are the same brand, EVGA. According to the NVidia control panel SLI is enabled. Only thing is my framerate has not improved.
Mechwarrior Online still yields me only 30FPS on all maxed out settings, yet my GTX660Ti can do that by itself on my old PC.
Running a benchmark on 3DMark with 1x GTX980 my score is 11,000. With the 2nd GTX980 running in SLI (3DMark also says they are enabled and working in SLI) I am getting a score of only 12,000.
I have just built a new computer which consists of an:
Asus Crosshair-V Formula-Z motherboard
AMD FX-9590 Watercooled @ 5.2GHz
16GB DDR3 2400MHz Ram
Samsung 256GB 850Pro SSD
I've read online where there is a known problem with GTX 970/980 cards getting low framerates, but I have a feeling something isn't hooked up right.
I am using the SLI Bridge included with the motherboard, but there are also 2x SLI connectors on the video card... assuming that is for 3x SLI. I have the connector for that if anyone feels that double connector is worth a try? :bang:
