I am aware of many more people having SLI issues with the z77 motherboards.
So far I have tried two sets STRIX GTX980's and two STRIX GTX970's in three machines - one running the New Maximus V mother board the other two both have P8Z77-v Deluxe Motherboards (All cards and boards are ASUS)
All the cards work fine in pairs in the new Maximumus however I get exactly the same results in both of the P8Z77-V Deluxe Boards - ie All the cards work fine in single card at a time (ie one card in either the blue or white slot) - however as soon as two 970's or 980's are put in only one card is detected so no SLI is available. I can put my old GTX680's back in and they work fine in SLI mode - BIOS on the MB is 2104.
Given that I can't be alone with this issue has anyone found a solution yet ? I have tried everything I can think of - and Asus support are refusing to get an engineer to replicate the issue (they seem to be completely separate departments - seems stupid not giving you tech support desk access to test kit).
As I said I have replicated exactly the same same thing with 2 sets of 980's and one set on 970's on two separate P8Z77-V Deluxe motherboards from Asus
Please advice.
John
