Is my new ARCTIC Freezer 7 Pro Rev 2 installed wrong??

Today I installed my new ARCTIC Freezer 7 Pro Rev 2 to replace a bog standard stock cooler but I am now a little confused as to if I installed it correctly or not. Some pictures and videos on the internet indicate that it should be installed as follows which is how I now have it...

my motherboard is a pretty old M5A78L-M LX AM3+ based model so I had to use the base plate from the old for the new if that helps.

Is my new ARCTIC Freezer 7 Pro Rev 2 installed wrong??
