I currently have an Asus VG248QE. I run it at 144hz all the time and my eyes are burning... a lot. My brightness is at 30%.
I tested out 60hz, its wayyyy worse. I don't know if its caused by the PWM flicker or not. I wonder if a BenQ XL2430T pwm-free would help with my problem.
I tried f.lux, it helps a "little", but the colors look... bad. Considering the blue-violet harmful light I read about is only at 6500k or higher (450nm in wavelength or less), I should be ok with 6400k anyway but its not, I still get eyestrain.
Although 144 is much better than 60, its not enough.
My vision is fine. So does that leave the pwm flicker or what else could it be? There is no overhead light or anything above the monitor.
I need to use my monitor for a long periods of time.

Eye burning. Would a new monitor like XL2430T help?
