Hi all, I'm a newbie here.
My PC:
- Mobo: JW-A870T-UC3
- Storage: Samsung 840 Evo SSD + 2 SATA HDDs
- OS: dual boot Win7 + Linux
I had already set SATA drive in the BIOS to Native IDE Mode when I found the sticky post about Enabling AHCI mode AFTER Windows 7 Installation.
I also read somewhere that setting to AHCI mode on some system didn't increase overall performance, but on the contrary gave negative results.
So now I'm wondering whether with that PC specs, will it result in better or poorer performance, if I changed the Native IDE Mode to AHCI mode in the BIOS?
I've Googled and found nothing about this J&W mobo and Samsung SSD configuration.
Any insights appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
