I have a few sata disks with bad sectors and even a few with read/write errors. While i know that disks like this are generaly on their last walk, i want to try something. Lets say i scan with HD Tune and find out which parts of disk are damaged and then according to this make partitions in a way so that the damaged part of the disk will remain unused.
I am going to try this since i am interested to what extend i can, well, extend the life of an old hard drive. What do you think will be the results ?
