Advice wanted about ideal airflow in future case (corsair Graphite 230T)

mardi 24 mars 2015

I'm building a PC next month or the month after that. Already ordered my case as it had a major discount. I'm just a little worried I won't get ideal airflow going.

The whole system :

Corsair Graphite 230T Windowed Black (midtower)

Asus sabertooth Z77

Intel I7 3770k

Noctua NH-D14

Corsair XMS3 DDR3 2x4GB @ 1600Mhz

MSI GTX 970

WD Blue 500GB HDD

WD Blue 1TB HDD

Crucial MX100 256 GB SSD

Corsair CX500

Redcon Bitfenix fan controller

The case comes with two intake fans in front, and one outtake in the back. Since the CPU cooler is pretty big, it's gonna be very close to the rear fan. Because of this, I'm worried the hot air from the other components won't have a good way out and the CPU cooler will use a lot of that. I'm planning to OC the CPU so I want good airflow.

For this reason I'm thinking of buying additional fans and a fanguard. I was thinking of turning the rear exhaust fan into an intake fan and strap a fanguard to it. This way it feeds fresh air directly to the CPU cooler. I would also use the forward top mount to add another fan, this one for outtake. I could also put a second exhaust next to it.

Is this a good idea? Does anybody have a better way or is it unnecessary for me to buy additional fans? I'd like to know before I get the rest of my system. I still have to order the second HDD and the SSD, the cheapest for me in my country is a website with delivery costs. If I order the fans and fanguard with it I don't have to pay for delivery twice and I can cut on some unnecessary costs.

Thanks for the help.
